Suleiman Bakhit – Creating Tolerance Through Comic Books

We are just finishing up creating our own comics after studying identity through Gene Luen Yang’s American Born Chinese.

Another writer who is trying to dispel stereotypes and wrestle with identity is Suleiman Bakhit. CBC’s show, Q recently interviewed the comic book creator and former TED Fellow about his work creating comic books in Jordan to battle terrorism by “creating characters and stories based in Arab tradition to spread the culture of tolerance.”
